Source of power:

Economic

Space of power:

TOWN'S IMAGE, REPUTATION AND IDENTITY

Description:

Participants drew a distinction between the Old Town and the town centre, which has vacant premises and is largely "boarded up". They reported that recent surveys suggest residents feel the town centre is "not a very nice place to go”.

Quotes from participants:

"if you look at the town centre…. in regards to the vacant premises and shops and things like that boarded up and you go to Old town it’s a complete different contrast"
