Child services’ inadequate rating jeopardises public trust

Source of power:

State

Space of power:

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Description:

There is a contrast between the 'inadequate' rating Swindon Borough Council children's services received last year and the 'outstanding' rating its new justice service received. Participants perceived there to be a lot of work being doing done with young people, tbut perceived that it is not yet having the desired impact.

Quotes from participants:

"Swindon Borough council’s children service was rated inadequate last year, but I think it’s also important to note that Swindon’s new justice service was rated outstanding last year, so again there’s a different contrast there"
