Welcome to the interactive Night-Time Economy Systems Maps

The night-time economy can negatively affect our health and wellbeing, it can also cause more harm to some than others. We know that harms from alcohol and gambling are unequal in different places. Many stakeholders in local night-time economies want to influence commercial activities that impact health. We produced systems maps with  stakeholders in Derby and Swindon to show how harms develop unequally.

If you don’t live or work in Derby or Swindon, don’t worry, you can still use the maps! Much of the information on the maps may still be relevant to your local area or you could adapt the maps using your own local knowledge. You might use the maps to help:

  • identify and address gaps in knowledge or local data

  • inform and implement local strategies

  • assess priorities for reducing harm

  • design interventions

  • plan evaluations of interventions.
